I was very excited to get the long weekend started. We left Wednesday evening and drove straight through to Durhamtown MX. On Friday we got in some good testing on the primo single track they had laid out. I took along my friend Jimbo, his girl friend Melissa, my women(Anna and Olivia), and the someday soon to be mother and father in-law. We had a blast, camping, riding, and playing games. Come Sunday it was time to put on my race face. I was feeling comfortable on the starting line and I was off to a good day……I thought. A first turn pile up shattered my thought of a perfect day. By the end of the first lap I moved into 3 rd and was hunting down 2nd. In a matter of two laps I found myself in 2nd place and feeling good, but not good enough I guess. With two laps to go I was passed back and left behind. I finished the day out with a 3rd in fourstroke A and 37th overall, not where I wanted to be. So it's more peddling and seat time for me. A huge thanks goes out to my wonderful pit crew, Enduro Engineering, Lansing Cycle, EVS, FMF, IMS, Motul, Scott USA, KTM HEQ, Scorpion Helmets, Hammer Nutrition, PG, Maxxis Tires - everybody - and Marc Heim for helping drive the sponsorship force field.
