Chris Gallt wins Jack Pine Overall

Little did I know waking up at 5 am to make the two hour hike to Moorestown, that today would be the day I earned my first ever Grand Champion title. I haven’t raced in about two months, being forced to sit out do to an injury and bike problems. So going into this event my goal was to finish strong and just have fun. Once we hit the first section of freshly marked trail, it was on, I was grinning ear to ear. Everything seemed to flow like never before. My bike ran great and I couldn’t seem to even get winded. The day went by fast and from the people I talked to during the race it seemed that I was riding quite well compared to the top AA riders. At the end of the race I was feeling quite confident, and very happy to be back at the races. When the results were posted I was surprised to see how good I actually ended up. It was nice to see how proud my dad was when he saw that our family name would be on a trophy that means so much to our racing community. All in all it was a very good event and I had a great time.
'Til next time,
Chris “skippy” Gallt
