Snowshoe GNCC race report - Jordan
We arrived at the track around 4:00pm on Saturday, checked in to our hotel, did a little walking around, watched a few people ride unicycles, ate, and went to bed. The sound of the announcer’s voice booming through the speakers woke me up at 8:00 in the morning. Signup was right below our room and I think the speaker was pointed at our window. For the G.P. Style start I drew row number 59. When our row left the line, I think I was close to last out of the five riders on the row. At the beginning of the race at the top of the mountain it was somewhat dry and dusty. During the mini race I only watched on top of the mountain and when we got in the woods I was not expecting the mud. I myself am not a mud rider. So this race would have been tough without the mud, but with the mud it made it tons tougher. When I hit the woods there were already very deep ruts. By the 2nd lap they were extremely deep. I think every mud hole I went through, once I made it through my bike would overheat. At the end of the race I ended up 12th place.
