The thing I like most about Enduros is having the chance to “regroup” in between test sections. This past weekend was a prime example. The first section of the day I was so pumped up and nervous making mistakes left and right. Going into the second section it was on. I calmed down and got focused. It was the longest section of the day and I charged the whole 10.5 miles. The rest of the day I battled dusty conditions and powder sand. All in all I was out having fun riding my motorcycle, and that’s when I seem to do my best. My goal for the weekend was to finish in the top 10 and be the top A rider of the day. Mission accomplished with a 9th overall and A highpoint.
Those of you that might not know me well, I am a very goal oriented person. In order to win a championship you have to see yourself up on the podium and strive for that moment in everything you do. Throughout life I have found that it is possible to turn your dreams into reality by turning them into goals.
Enough of me being a motivational speaker. It was a great weekend and I’d like to thank my family for running gas and cheering me on. I’d also like to thank Lafanda for wishing me luck, because a little luck always helps. And now a big thanks to all the product people: Lansing Cycle, KTM, Enduro Engineering, Hammer Nutrition, FMF, Scorpion Helmets, EVS, IMS, Scott Goggles, Maxxis Tires, Motul, and PG Graphics.
Till next time
